The Ghana Meteorological Agency has warned of a heavy rainstorm in some parts of the country today [Tuesday].
According to the Agency, the rainstorm which has for sometime now been in the “eastern constitute of the country is expected to propagate westward and affect most places along the east coast of Ghana with rain and thunderstorm this afternoon.”
Areas to be affected
The Agency explained that the Greater Accra Region, particularly, Tema, Spintex, Madina, Airport, Accra, and Kasoa, will experience a thunderstorm from 1. 30 pm to 4.00pm, followed by the Central Region from 3:00pm to 4:00pm, then the Western Region from 4:00pm to 7:00pm.
The rainstorm, according to the Agency will be accompanied by strong winds.
Just when the statement was issued , some areas in the Greater Accra Region were experiencing thunderstorm with rains.
