Ghanaian Community Centre
Any community or nation that develops a culture of selflessness rather than selfishness sees more growth, development and prosperity. A community that learns to help one another and learns to celebrate each other’s successes will make it big and great.
Ghanaians in Manchester have spoken and dreamt about a building to call our own for a long time. Today, we are closer than ever to that dream with our new project, the Ghanaian Community Centre. For decades, Ghanaians in Manchester have lived and contributed to the growth and development of the city. However, while other communities have community centres, we have no place of our own to showcase our culture and support each other.
YOU can help us change this.
We want to purchase or build from scratch a building that will serve the community in a number of different ways. For example, having a venue which can be used for community events and rented out to generate income; a base for consular issues to avoid trips to London; a central point where people can go to be signposted in the event of personal difficulty and a place to provide facilities for education and training for both adults and children. Every little helps in making this dream a reality so you can donate as little as £1 and also encourage friends and family to do likewise. After all, little drops of water make an ocean! Together in selflessness, we can do it.
