The Ghana Union of Greater Manchester offers services and support on issues pertinent to the Ghanaian community in the Greater Manchester Area.
Since 1945, we have consistently offered support to members, as well as assisting them whenever possible in resolving professional and personal issues. The Executive Officers bring the expertise and experience to bear on issues that may confront members. For example providing help and support in pointing members in the right direction.
OUR VALUES
The Union believes that at the heart of good leadership is a mindset of servanthood to those that it serves. A leadership that promotes inclusiveness, openness, transparency and accountability as well as nurturing and mentoring the next generation of leaders.
The Union holds as a core value the ability to celebrate each other’s successes, skills and the expertise members bring to the Union. We celebrate the willingness of the Leadership team to take on board constructive criticism to bring about solutions for the common good of the organisation.
In our community relations, the Union emphasises interpersonal relationships based on love, care and mutual respect. In our relationship with the wider community and external agencies, we seek to co-exist in harmony to ensure that any help is tailored to meet the needs of those we serve. We constantly seek better ways of serving the community.
